Hashing is when a mathematical operation is used to scramble data so that it cannot be read by someone if it is intercepted. It also cannot be reversed without knowing the hasing algorithm used.

There are several hashing algorithms but some are more secure than others.

What types of malware are there and how are they different?

There are several kinds of malware:

• Viruses: a virus can reproduce itself but it needs you to run a program
